Things to do in the Shower Instead of Over Think:

——

As an avid over-thinker, if I’m not careful, I can waste that creative thinking time in the shower on pointless rumination about the past and future. You too?

I find that if I am more intentional about beinf in the present when I am in the shower, then I come out feeling more refreshed, with clearer thinking to start the day. And if I’m lucky, maybe a new creative idea or two.

Where does your mind go when you are in the shower?

While you’re lathering up, here are 5 things you can do to be more mentally, emotionally and spiritually productive in the shower.

1. Think about what you’re grateful for.

2. Map out your day and think of what you are most looking forward to.

3. Imagine the future life you’re working toward.

4. Speak life over every limb and organ your body.

5. Pray & Talk to God.

When I speak life over every limb and organ, I literally thank it one by one for its functions. For example, “thank you ankles for giving me balance, thank you ribs for holding me in place, thank you kidneys for cleansing my system… etc.”

They are living and breathing, and they listen. This is a great way to heal your body of any ailments.
