We are choosing [to be] pillars of salt more than we think

We don’t question the metaphor of Lot’s wife, turning into a pillar of salt the way that we should and as often as we should.

Uncapping the message in the Bible that was meant for where you are today in this moment can give so much insight on the way forward.

I like to use it as a tool in that way.

What does the pillar of salt look like in your life today? Are you looking back too long and halting your growth because of it?

Picture the life ahead of you, the freedom ahead of you, if you don’t look back.

See how long you can go without looking back, and observe the results of not doing so.

You may still choose to look back, but if you look forward for long enough, you will soon realize why it was time to leave in the first place. Don’t get burned waiting to long to figure it out yourself.

Often times we look back, to make sense of it, or to see how things turn out. But I’m learning that that is none of our business. What is our business is what is ahead of us.

Be grateful for what that which is behind you gave you.

But please, darling…

Look ahead.
